In the early 1900’s, in a small fishing village off the coast of Maine, Josh and Sarah live with their grandparents, Eli and Sadie. They’ve been with them since they were toddlers, when their mother died.
Eli is captain of his own fishing vessel, and Sadie is a midwife.
Josh and Sarah are now adults, twenty-five and twenty-three years of age. As they reflect on the past and share moments of love, sorrow and humor, birth and death, they begin to get closer to the Truth. They begin to question the secrets, silence, and mystery surrounding the circumstances of their lives before they came to their grandparents’ home.
