A Slice of Cake is a children’s story that celebrates diversity in the world we live in. The story sends a positive message about hope, kindness, sharing and tolerance. I have been teaching children for 20 years and very much enjoy reading to them. I feel satisfied to see their interaction and reactions to different books.
Every year many schools celebrate International Day, but I feel that there aren’t enough children’s stories that bring different cultures together. My goal with this book is to take children around the world using very simple and repetitive language.
