This will be a 4 part story about the lives of 4 best friends. Book 1 (A Stranger in Town) will be about Richard (mixed race American ) and the others will be introduced during this first book. They are Steven (Hispanic) (To Love Wisely or Not At All) friends since high school and local veterinarian, Keith (Black) (Twice Shy)best friend since 4th grade, chief of staff at major hospital and Paul (white) (A Father for Me Meghan)friends since high school and local newspaper owner. Also introduced are Jessie, Keith’s sister married to Stephen (Italian) local nursery owner, Sydney, new to the town looking for work at the hospital as an administrator who will be Keith’s love interest, Nicole hometown girl returning after 12 years away will be Paul’s love interest and Rene, hometown mother of 2 and widow of a hometown guy that she grew up with.

Richard is a mixed race American doctor who has worked for the past 7 years with WHO in East Africa and South America. He has been asked by his best friend since 4th grade to come home and work with him at the hospital where he is chief of staff. WHO he arrives home he is caught in a compromising position by his friends brother –in- law. The doctor is innocent because the wife mistakenly thinks he is her brother and runs to him to tell him that their father has just had a heart attack. She is hysterical and even though she realizes her mistake she is too overwhelmed to do anything but continue to cry and Richard holds her until she calms down. This is when the husband finds them.
