When we first get together with someone for that nervous first date, fundamental questions such as “could I see myself having kids with this person?” don’t necessarily go through our heads.
Instead, we worry that we might embarrass ourselves, spill a drink over them, and prompt their best friend to make that “emergency” phone-call to get them out of the date.
We might start to think about key questions after the third or fourth date, because this is now usually the point where things are starting to get a little bit more serious. You may even have been introduced to their family by now.
But even after you have become a couple, there are still numerous conversations and questions that you probably don’t have with your partner. These are the important conversations, such as Do you both want to start a family? Are your values the same?
Sometimes we don’t ask these questions because we’re frightened that the answers won’t match up with ours and thereby spoil our bliss. And so we continue living happily with our new partner, blissfully unaware that we may disagree on key issues.
Eventually, though, there will come a time when you will both need to ask and answer a number of fundamental questions. This time usually comes when you get engaged.
The questions will reveal whether the pair of you really are meant to be together, or whether you’re actually just putting off the inevitable.
But the sooner you ask these questions, the sooner you can either get married or amicably call it quits.
In this e-book we will take a look at ten key conversations that you and your partner really need to have before you get married. They will help you to learn a lot more about one another, and who knows? They might help you to fall even more in love.
