Violet was a simple coal miner’s wife, and a soon to be mother of a beautiful baby girl named Maddie. She had everything she wanted, the perfect nursery, a wonderful home, and a husband that would take care of her no matter what.
She was perfectly devoted to him, even when a horrific accident killed their unborn child, and her mental health spiraled out of control. Her child died, but he couldn’t seem to grasp the magnitude of it. He told her to move on, but how could she possibly do that? She lost her daughter.
Frank, her husband, decided to plan a hunting trip to her favorite spot in the mountains in the cabin she used to visit with her family when she was a little girl. Maybe she could find some peace there.
Would the trip help her through her grief? Or would she have to live with the pain of losing her daughter forever?
