Rella is a young woman who struggles to live with her stepfamily. She dreams of escape and her means of accomplishing them are through sindas, a medicinal plant worth its weight in gold. But with the Harvest Festival and Royal Ball on the horizon, her plans are in jeopardy when her stepmother sells the sindas to pay for the ball. Now Rella must call upon all her wit and some extra help to escape the trap that is her life, even if she has to go to the ball to do it.
