It was time for bed, but Sarita just couldn’t go to sleep. She was much too excited. Her whole family was here and she was having such a good time with her grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins. She did not want to stop playing. Mother said it was time for bed, though, because little elephants need their rest.
Sarita is always a good little elephant and tries very hard to do what her parents tell her all the time, so she crawled into her snugly bed.
“Ooh, Mama!” Sarita exclaimed as just her eyes and the tip of her trunk peeked from beneath the comfy bed of leaves. “I just can’t sleep! I am too excited! I have so many questions!”
