THE LIGHTHOUSE
This story is about a lighthouse that no one dared to enter. A lighthouse is meant to save lives and guide people towards the right path. Its purpose is to allow people to have a safe passage in the dark of night at the sea. Would you ever think that a lighthouse could do the opposite? Would you dare imagine something that was built to save lives take it instead?
The story begins with the death of a scuba diver. The town people were careful not to go near it, but the new kid was stupid enough to ignore their warning. No one knows how it’s still working. People rarely go up to it. It seems to function on its own. Still, people from the village need to choose someone who has to replace its broken parts from time to time. That responsibility used to fall on a little girl’s uncle. Cassie was just a little girl when she saw the cursed lighthouse take its first victim. Ten years has passed and now she is forced to take the role of her uncle. She tries to escape her uncle’s duty, but she changes her mind when the villagers begin walking up to the cursed lighthouse. This causes innocent people to die from the curse without knowing what they were doing. Eventually the lighthouse begins to draw her little brother to it. Will Cassie be able to accept her duty as the keeper of the cursed lighthouse? Will she survive her return to the lighthouse long enough to save her brother from becoming it’s next victim?
