HEINZ GRUNWALD, also known as Chaim Geron, was
born on November18th, 1918 as Heinz-Karl Hentel, in
Berlin, Germany. Due to the circumstances of his birth, he
was immediately thrust, defenseless, into a dangerous and
brutal reality. The young boy became a young Jewish man
during a period of international upheaval. Throughout his
life, Grunwald struggled with the mystery of his birth and
the true identity of his mother.
Heinz’s story describes the endless quest for love and its
power to create a new life.
