15-year-old Maria Mercado is the epitome of ordinary in Resullar City; she lives in an ordinary house with her ordinary family, attends an ordinary school with her ordinary friends. Nothing interesting ever happens to her; until a fluke class suspension sent her wandering aimlessly near the Forbidden Area.
All of a sudden her world was turned upside down as she enters a kingdom full of royalty, spies, giants and other creatures and where she finds herself to be the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy uttered by the kingdom’s creator himself. Now Maria must get through this extraordinary adventure with the help of her new extraordinary friends – Meeka, Gadik, Jonas and Jasper – as she fulfills her role and decides which side to take in the impending war – a decision that would determine the future of the Kingdom of Hepoxia.
