When his son commits a horrific act and then takes his own life, Mboma, a respected member of the village, fears the worst from the ancestors. Not long afterwards, a series of dark events occur in the village: an unspeakable assault, a mysterious fire consuming a preacher and his wife, a tragic suicide, and the unexplained disappearance of a father. As the village grapples with these incidents, scars of the past resurface, forcing each resident to confront their darkest secrets.
Amidst the chaos, the chief seizes the opportunity for revenge, attributing the turmoil to ancestral wrath. Proposing the revival of a century-old ritual involving a human sacrifice, he singles out Mboma’s son. However, the village’s traditional doctor opposes this dark course of action, adding a layer of moral complexity to the unfolding drama.
As the chief cunningly exploits the traditional doctor’s secrets, alliances are shattered, and loyalties are tested. With the stakes escalating, Mboma finds himself in a race against time to save his son and unravel the mysteries threatening to tear Ngarange apart.
