Nils wished he had listened to the advice he had previously heard but disregarded. While browsing job openings on the internet, he willingly entered the devil’s playground believing he had struck gold. He took the bait believing he was the lucky child, especially since he was also regarded as one of the best candidates for the position. Sadly, the outrageous sum they paid was sufficient to overlook the warning sign. A few weeks later, Nils found himself in an unannounced backroom with an eerie ambiance reminiscent of a thriller novel. He pondered to himself, Why in the world had he thought that the overpaid position didn’t have a hook? Why, despite his regret for his choice immediately following the first shift, he had thought he had been fortunate. As the last of his time dwindled, he whispered to himself, “I should never have gone,” as the feeling of pure horror spread throughout his body.
