Papa’s Family Recipes is a true story of Alberto Petrucci, the son of two emigrant Italian parents in the city of Detroit. Alberto went on to become one of the largest contractors in the Midwest. He was a very kind, caring, and humble man who loved his family deeply. He had a passion for cooking and became quite good at it. Alberto, known to those in his family as “Papa”, left behind some of his very delicious Petrucci family recipes like the recipe for his Italian Chicken, and his recipe for Risotto. He also left behind a secret recipe for his family spaghetti sauce. Have you ever met someone you liked the first time you met them? That’s what people said about the man called Papa. They also said his spaghetti sauce was the best they had ever eaten. Stay around him long enough and Papa just might cook you up a big bowl of pasta with his favorite spaghetti sauce. Can you say the word “pasta” without smiling? I know you can’t help but smile after tasting some of Papa’s spaghetti sauce and pasta. Come on and give it a try! Buon Appetito!
